Abstract
The reflectance of ultra-low loss dielectric multilayer coating mirrors coo led at 10 K was monitored as the finesse of a Fabry-Perot cavity consisting of them for one month. Their reflectances remained approximately constant within +/-5 ppm. The contaminated reflectance due to the cryogenic molecule absorption was investigated to be recovered without any serious damage on their coating surface. This result suggests utilization of the cryogenic mi rror is likely for the interferometric gravitational wave detector. (C) 200 0 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
