Abstract
Understanding of indoor/outdoor multipath propagation structure is importan t in developing antifading techniques for high-speed digital radio access. That is clarified by measuring the direction of arrival (DOA), time of arri val (TOA), and relative power strength of incident waves. We propose a new algorithm to estimate these parameters in mobile communication environments . We have developed multipath propagation analysis equipment for applying t he algorithm. The basic performances have been evaluated in an anechoic cha mber. It became clear that it was possible to measure coupled TOA and DOA w ith high resolution and high accuracy within a short processing time in mob ile communication environments.
