Abstract
The complex {(C5H5)Cr[mu-CH2SiMe2-N(SiMe3)]}(2) (1) was obtained by reactin g lithium bis(trimethylsilyl)amide (2) with CpCrCl2. THF. A single crystal X-ray diffraction study revealed that the complex is dimeric with two [mu-C H2SiMe2-N(SiMe3)] bridging units and a cis configuration of the two cyclope ntadienyl ligands. Bond distances and angles are compared with those observ ed in [(C5Me5)CrI-IMe](2) and [(C5H5)(CrMe2)-Me-III](2).
