Abstract
A series of (methyl)palladium complexes of general formula Bp'Pd(CH3)(L) [B p' = Bp = dihydridobis(pyrazolyl)borate; Bp' = Bp* = dihydridobis(3,5-dimet hylpyrazolyl)borate, L = phosphane] has been synthesised. The interaction o f these alkyl complexes with carbon monoxide produces the acetyl derivative s Bp'Pd(C(O)Me)(L), one of the members of this series, BpPd[C(O)Me](PPh3), being structurally characterised by X-ray diffraction studies.
