Abstract
Optically active azides derived from penta-O-acetylglycose tartaric acid an d quinine when reacted with the proazaphosphatrane P(MeNCH2-CH2)(3)N gave h ighly basic iminophosphoranes that are potential asymmetric catalysts and l igands for a variety of reactions. Preliminary results show that the enanti omers are formed in unequal proportions. (C) 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
