Abstract
This paper describes measurements of the radar backscatter from rice crops at 9 GHz with a ground-based scatterometer. The measurements were conducted over the whole period of rice growth from transplanting to ripening, at th ree polarization combinations (HH, VV, and HV), and at incidence angles of 0-70 degrees.
