Abstract
We extend a recurrence relation between determinants of real symmetric Toep litz matrices to the case where these matrices are singular. The relation e xploits the even-odd structure of Toeplitz matrices and contains tao factor s: one corresponding to the even and the other corresponding to the odd Dar t of their spectrum.
