Issues in augmenting Diffserv to meet application's CoS requirements

The increasing diversity in Internet applications necessitates: extended In ternet architecture that can differentiate forwarding treatment of differen t types of flows. Diffserv can be a solution to the problem when it is augm ented by several additional components. In this paper we describe various i ssues and possible directions in augmenting Diffserv. We present our analys is of Diffserv architecture, anticipated developments to augment Diffserv a rchitecture, and potential applications of Diffserv.
