Abstract
An experiment was conducted for 2 year; durig 1994-96 at Cooch Behar to eva luate the relative performance of 7 bivoltine silkworm breeds namely P-5, K PG(B), SH6 NE18, P-5 x KPG(B), KPG(B) x P-5 and P-5 x SE6 against occurrenc e of different diseases during different seasons, viz February-March, March -April, May-June, June-July, August-September, October-November and Novembe r-December. It is observed that SH6 and its hybrids with P-5 showed higher survivality against different diseases over seasons, indicates their suitab ility for terai region of West Bengal. Incidence of different diseases was found maximum during May to September and minimum during February to April and again in October to December.
