Abstract
Fieldbus has been used to control self drill drive screw (SDDS), spot clinc hing and self pierce riveting tools mounted to a single robot with a tool c hanger. This has reduced wiring complexity and enabled more robust cable dr essing. The network, tool operation and tool changer are described.
