Abstract
A detailed investigation of metal-semiconductor-metal UV photodetector s based on polycrystalline diamond film is presented. The roles of mat erial quality, device configuration (planar or sandwich) and contact p roperties (blocking or ohmic) in determining both dark- and photo-elec trical behaviours are particularly discussed.
