Trophoblastic disease occasionally presents with apparent metastases that t
urn out to be lesions not associated with the trophoblastic tumor. In this
article, we present one case of a cerebellar hemangioma, two of lung and me
diastinal teratoma, and one of pulmonary granuloma masquerading as metastas
es from trophoblastic disease. If an apparent metastasis associated with tr
ophoblastic tumor does not accord with the clinical diagnosis, look for an
independent cause.
