Estimates for the Jung constant in Banach lattices

Sharp lower estimates for the Jung constant J(E) in Banach lattices E satis fying an upper p-estimate and a lower q-estimate are given. Moreover, the m inimal value of J(E) with respect to equivalent renormings of E is calculat ed in E = L-p,L-q for finite p and q, as well as in more general spaces E. Finally, a nontrivial estimate for the radius r(Lp,infinity) (A) is obtaine d for A being a bounded sequence of disjointly supported functions in L-p,L -infinity.
