Abstract
Objective: The authors describe a patient with an unusual combination of po lydipsia and isolated hypernatremia without any other changes of electrolyt es. The patient had two attacks of hypernatremia which were successfully tr eated with clozapine. Some speculations about possible mechanisms of this u nusual combination are discussed.
