This comment raises questions about whether affirmative action has act ually moved us closer to the objective of creating a more equal workpl ace. It explores some of the potential psychological costs of affirmat ive action-costs that paradoxically may undermine its objectives-and t heir implications for achieving the goal of workplace equality.
