Silver sols and radiosols have been prepared using NaBH4 reduction and Agions radiolabeled with (110) Ag-m isotopes. The electroaggregation of the p
articles on polycrystalline gold electrode studied by the so-called "foil"
in-situ radiotracer method was described. For the purpose of the combined r
adiochemical and electrochemical new beta-plastic dE/dX detector was develo
ped. Experimental results of time and potential dependence of electroattach
ment-detachment processes, the surface excess concentration as a function o
f the electrode potential used, the "mobility" of the particles deposited h
ave been presented and discussed. These results may give some new contribut
ions to the research field of colloid-modified electrodes and to the best o
f our knowledge the radioelectrochemical investigation of the colloid stabi
lity is unique in the literature.
