Synthesis, characterization and structural elucidation of monoorgano di(chloro) tin(IV) complexes of heterocyclic dithiocarbamates

Some new monoorganodichlorotin(IV) complexes of heterocyclic dithiocarbamat es RCl2Sn[S2CNCH2CH2(X)CH2CH2] (where R = n-C4H9 and C6H5; X CH2, CH-CH3, N -CH3 and O) have been synthesized by the reactions of monoorganotin(IV) tri chloride with the sodium saft of heterocyclic dithiocarbamates in 1 : 1 mol ar ratio in refluxing benzene solution. These complexes have been character ized on the basis of elemental analyses, molecular weight measurements, IR and NMR (H-1, C-13 and Sn-119) spectral studies.
