In this paper the change of intensity and binding energy (BE) of O Is in th
e Pr1-xSrxMnO3 system along with the doping amount x is discussed. The X-ra
y photoelectron spectra of O Is peak show the clear splitting features and
change of both intensity and BE with doping level x. Although the oxygen co
ntribution in an ultrahigh vacuum chamber is always unavoidable, it is poss
ible to distinguish them from intrinsic peak shape. A preliminary interpret
ation is proposed for a possible second order phase transition near x = 0.3
