U. Denter et al., MODIFICATION OF FIBER SURFACES BY PERMANE NT FIXATION OF SUPRAMOLECULAR COMPONENTS .2. CYCLODEXTRINES, Die Angewandte makromolekulare Chemie, 248, 1997, pp. 165-188
Cyclodextrin derivatives may be fixed permanently onto different fibre
surfaces by suitable functional groups using conventional technologie
s of textile processing. As a result of the modification process the p
roperties of the polymers are influenced. Some examples are discussed
in detail. For several ligands it is illustrated that the fixed caviti
es do not lose their complexing power. Thus, special functional proper
ties can be obtained by the inclusion of specific active agents.
