A new electrostriction technique and the conventional pressure-density meth
od were used to determine the susceptibility near the liquid-gas critical p
oint of He-3. Measurements were made along the critical isochore over the r
educed temperature range of 3 x 10(-5) < T/T-c - 1 < 7 x 10(-3). Preliminar
y results were compared with previous experiments chi(T)* = Gamma(0)(+)t(-y
)(1 + Gamma(1)(+)t(-1)). Best fit parameters for the asymptotic amplitude G
amma(0)(+) and the first correction-to-scaling amilitude Gamma(1)(+) are pr
