We demonstrate that pinning strongly renormalizes both longitudinal and Hal
l resistivity. Using a simple model for the pinning potential we show that
the magnitude of the vortex contribution to the Hall voltage decreases with
an increase in the pinning strength or with a decrease in transport curren
t. The Hall resistivity rho(perpendicular to) does not scale generally as r
ho(parallel to)(-2). A strong enough pinning can even result in the sign re
versal of rho(perpendicular to). (C) 2000 Published by Elsevier Science B.V
