Abstract
We have investigated the magnetic properties of Ag-Cu alloy sheathed Bi-222 3 tapes with columnar defects parallel to the c-axis introduced by Xe-ion i rradiation. We found that the irreversibility line in heavy-ion irradiated Bi-2223 tapes showed the shift toward higher fields. In addition, the irrev ersibility curve of the irradiated Ag-Cu alloy sample is located in the hig her temperature side of the irradiated Ag sheathed tape even in the higher magnetic field than the matching field.
