The influence of KClO3 addition on the AC complex susceptibility and parame
ters of microstructure and morphology of YBCO HTSC with nominal composition
s Y1Ba(2-x)KxCu3Oy, Y(1-0.2x)Ba(2-0.2x)KxCu3Oy and Y1Ba2Cu(3.5-x)KxOy. (x =
0 - 0.75) were investigated. Experimental results showed a promoting effec
t of the addition on the formation of 123-phase in air. The superconducting
transition temperature for all KClO3-doped samples was found to be higher
(T-c,T-onset similar to 94 K) than that for undoped YBCO. The comparison of
the properties of YBCKO demonstrated that the additive had a specific effe
ct on the magnetic susceptibility and microstructure of samples with differ
