The dependences of T-c and the chemical potential shift Delta mu on the hol
e concentration n(h) in La2-xSrxCuO4 and Bi2Sr2Ca1-xYxCu2O8+delta have been
calculated. The downward shifts of mu with n(h) have been found. The pseud
ogap leads to suppression of Delta mu(n(h)) in underdoped La2-xSrxCuO4 at T
