Pressure effect on T-c in (Cu, Tl)Ba2Ca2Cu3Oy superconductor

The pressure dependence of T-c for (Cu0.5Tl0.5)Ba2Ca2Cu3Oy with various T-o nset(T-c = 95.3. 128.7 and 134.6 K) has been measured. The pressure coeffic ients (dT(c)/dP) for these samples were positive, even if sample was over-d oped. The values of T-c enhancement Delta T-c of 12-14 K at 8 GPa for the T -c = 128.7 and 134.6 K samples were comparable to those for Hg-1223 and (B, C)-1223, while Delta T-c for the T-c = 95.3 K sample was considerably small . For the T-c = 134.6 K sample, T-c increased to 147.0 K at 8 GPa. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
