Abstract
The refraction of polarized neutrons in a Co film (700 Angstrom) on a glass substrate is investigated. An external magnetic field is directed at an an gle to the firm surface and changes in direction and magnitude over a wide range. Spatial splitting of the polarized neutron beam is observed. Four tr ansmission coefficients T+ (+), T+ (-,) T- + and T- (-) as a function of th e neutron wavelength are obtained. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All right s reserved.
