We discuss 2-particle correlations which arise in the time evolution of C-o
dd and C-even meson-antimeson states of flavored neutral mesons. In order t
o keep our discussion general, we do not use the Wejsskopf-Wigner approxima
tion. Possible deviations from quantum-mechanical coherence effects are par
ametrized by a so-called decoherence parameter zeta. In particular, we stud
y the zeta dependence of the asymmetry of unlike and like-flavored events w
hich was recently observed experimentally in the K-0(K) over bar(0) system.
In this zeta dependence, we point out some important general features whic
h do not rely on the Weisskopf-Wigner approximation. Some other related res
ults are derived more generally than in the literature.
