A data model for generalized scheduling for virtual enterprise

This work aims to generalize and formalize the problem of macro task alloca tion to aggregated production resources in the virtual enterprise context. Firstly, the product/process constraints are identified without any conside ration of the resources. Then, the current availability of the aggregated r esources within the virtual enterprise is taken into account. This paper do es not address the allocation problem as such but provides a generic formal ization of the feasibility domain as a support for human decision-makers in a dynamic production network.
