Abstract
The authors report the case of a patient presenting with recurrent urinary tract infection and deterioration of the general status. Ultrasonography, p lain x-rays and especially cystoscopy demonstrated the presence in the blad der of an intrauterine contraceptive device inserted 4 years previously. En doscopic removal combined with antibiotics ensured dire of this patient.
