Only a few surgical treatments are available for male urinary stress incont
inence and artificial urinary sphincter remains the reference treatment. It
is associated with a certain morbidity and specific technical limitations
and can therefore not always be used in a given patient. Stimulated gracilo
plasty could constitute a useful alternative treatment in exceptional situa
tions. The objective of this study was to review the technique, the indicat
ions already defined apart from urinary incontinence and the results of sti
mulated graciloplasty in urology.
