Abstract
Nanocrystalline composites - CdSe/polyacrylamide, in which the inorganic co mponent (6 wt%) displays nearly mono-dispersion, were successfully prepared in a single step under gamma-irradiation at room temperature and ambient p ressure. The sizes of CdSe nanoparticles were limited within 5 nm by the po lyacrylamide matrix and the growth process of CdSe nanocrystallites, confin ed in the polyacrylamide matrix, was studied by UV-VIS absorption spectra.
