J. Vodnar et al., The study of chemical reactions, absorption and extraction, using apparatuses with serpentine pipe for pelliclizing-bubbling, xiv. Hydroperoxidation of 1,3-diisopropylbenzene with oxygen, REACT KIN C, 68(2), 1999, pp. 213-219
Experimental results obtained by thermal hydroperoxidation of 1,3-diisoprop
ylbenzene in the temperature region of 102-125 degrees C, using a Vodnar-1
type apparatus with discontinuous operation are presented. Based on the res
ults, the activation energy (E = 48.5+/-2 kJ/mol), enthalpy (Delta H+ = 47/-2 kJ/mol), entropy (Delta S+) and the activation free enthalpy (Delta G()) were calculated.
