Abstract
Using the Pb-210 method, we have estimated the sedimentation rate of L ake Titicaca at 3.9 Mt.a-1. More than 90% of deposits occur in the fir st 5 m water depth. In this littoral area hiatuses are sometimes cause d by bathymetric variations.
