Abstract
Different methods for preparing fluorinated fullerene were studied. Gas flu orination of fullerene with molecular fluorine was studied in detail. The d egree of fluorination was determined as influenced by temperature, reaction time, and fluorine pressure. A tendency of highly fluorinated fullerenes t o undergo hydrolysis is noted.
