Mutations in the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes confer a greatly increased risk of b reast cancer, ovarian cancer, and other malignant diseases. This paper offe rs recommendations about who should be screened for BRCA mutations, and ins ights into the ramifications of BRCA testing.
