Abstract
The Virtual Compton Scattering below the pion threshold provides a powerful tool to probe the internal structure of the nucleon at distances where per turbative calculations cannot be applied. A data taking has been performed with the experimental set-up of Hall A at Cebaf. The analysis is still in p rogress and will allow the extraction of new observables of the proton, the generalized polarizabilities.
