Abstract
A new technique is presented for tracking the maximum power point (MPP) of solar arrays. Although the control circuit is extremely simple and robust, its dynamics are complex. The MPP becomes inherently the global attractor o f the system, thus ensuring optimum operation under transient and steady-st ate conditions. Experimental results confirm excellent tracking effectivene ss and rapid dynamic response.
