Abstract
The radial artery has been used as an access for transcatheter procedures a s well as a source for arterial conduit during bypass surgery, It has been reported that 5-13% of radial arteries may be damaged during transradial ca theterization. The damage can be irreversible, and may therefore prohibit t he radial artery's subsequent utilization as a coronary conduit.
