The complexation dynamics of the excited tripler states of flavone and chro
mone with beta-cyclodextrin was studied by laser flash photolysis. The exit
and entry rate constants for the triplet states of these ketones were dete
rmined using Cu2+ and NO2- as quenchers. The entry and exit rate constants
depend on the size of the guest molecule and were faster for chromone than
