Abstract
Advanced hybrid cycloaliphatic (AHC) epoxies are innovative, high-performan ce coatings and linings that use two or more modified cycloaliphatic amine curing agents. The latter cross-link a single epoxy resin, or a mixture of epoxy resins, from Bisphenol A, Bisphenol F, or higher functionality (tri- and tetra-functional) epoxy phenolic novolacs. AHC epoxies are single-coat, solventless, ultra-thick film (30 to 125 mils [760 to 3,200 mm] dry film t hickness), fast-curing thermosets that can be ready for immersion service i n as little as 6 h.
