Abstract
We present a new way of doing perturbation theory of the Landau problem. We
introduce two sets of raising and lowering operators. One set is for shift
ing the coordinates of the center of the cyclotron orbit. The other set is
for shifting the energy levels. This method is compared to that of the Peie
rls substitution.
