Abstract
Transitory and permanent effects of electron beam irradiation on mechanical and electrical properties of a large list of organic insulating materials, such as: polyethylene (PE), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polystyrene (PS), te rephtalated polyethylene (PET), stratified phenol-paper (SPP), methylstyren e butadiene rubber (MeStB), silicon rubber (SR), polyester resin (UPR) are presented. The principal mechanical and electrical properties analyzed were : tensile strength, elongation at break, sharing strength, dielectric stren gth, electrical resistivity, dielectric constant, dissipation factor.
