Abstract
Results are reported of the study of systems averaging the azimuthal inhomo geneities of gain and suppressing aberration and polarization wavefront dis tortions formed in active amplifying elements of a repetitively pulsed Nd:Y AG laser. A twofold decrease of depolarization in the amplified radiation w as obtained. An optimum filling of active elements due to correction of rad iation distortions in the near field was realized.
