Abstract
Non invasive detection of coronary sclerosis is one of the most important t opics in the evaluation of cardiac patients. Established and new screening tests were compared to the gold standard of coronary angiography in 50 pati ents. Electron beam computer tomography - evaluating the amount of coronary calcium - is able to detect localized and diffuse sclerotic lesions with h igh sensitivity compared to treadmill stress testing and nuclear scintigrap hy.
