Abstract
Electrical resistivities of [Co(10.8 Angstrom)/Cu(t(Cu) Angstrom)](15) magn etic multilayers(MML) having t(Cu) = 9.8 and 11.7 Angstrom have been measur ed as a function of magnetic field at high pressure. It is found that the e lectrical resistivity of these two MMLs shows a smooth temperature dependen ce below 2.2 GPa and the spin-dependent resistivity for t(Cu) = 9.8 Angstro m decreases with increasing pressure, while for t(Cu) = 11.7 Angstrom, it i ncreases at high pressure. The origins of the enhancement of the spin-depen dent resistivity at high pressure are briefly discussed. (C) 2000 Published by Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
