Bd. Shanina et al., Influence of interstitial and substitutional impurities upon the electron structure of iron-based alloys, PHYSICA B, 284, 2000, pp. 1313-1314
Conduction electron-spin resonance is observed in paramagnetic iron-based a
lloys over a temperature range of 10 K < T < 200 K. Temperature dependence
of CESR g-factor in this interval reflects a change in dynamic magnetic sus
ceptibility. Using CESR data we trace the influence of substitutional (Cr,
Ni, Mn,...) and interstitial (N, C) impurities on D(E-F), the density of st
ates at the Fermi surface. Calculations within the framework of pseudopoten
tial method explain the opposite effects of N and C on D(E-F) in FCC iron a
nd iron-based solid solutions. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights re
