Abstract
We consider the ground state properties, the valence fluctuations and the e lectronic spectrum in n-doped SmB6. The behaviour of excess conduction elec trons in the presence of valence fluctuations and the origin of the two ene rgy scales in the excitation spectrum are discussed in terms of self-trappe d electron-polaron complexes.
