Abstract
The disappearance of the Cr magnetization in the ferromagnetic Cr-doped man ganites has been observed both by magnetic circular X-ray dichroism (MCD) a nd magnetization measurements. LaCr0.33Mn0.67O3 samples have been prepared by standard solid state reaction. The samples are ferromagnetic, whereas in the MCD measurements we observed magnetic moments only for Mn. Magnetizati on measurement also suggests the disappearance of the Cr magnetization. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
