Abstract
The magnetic properties of pure and mixed (0 less than or equal to x less t han or equal to 1) metal phenylphosphonates, MnxM1-x(O-3 PC6 H-5) . H2O, wh ere M is Co or Zn, have been investigated. The pure Mn system consists of q uasi-two-dimensional Heisenberg spins that experience long-range canted ant iferromagnetic order at T-N approximate to 12 K. The MnxM1 - x systems form solid solutions for all values of x, and the corresponding magnetic phase diagrams (T-N versus x) are presented. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All r ights reserved.
