Abstract
We report experimental and theoretical work on mesoscopic S-N-S junction in the diffusive regime. The observed temperature dependence of the critical current is compared to results of the quasiclassical theory. Above I-c, the experimental V-I characteristics of the junction deviate strongly from the standard RSJ model. We describe the junction by quasiclassical theory star ting from the adiabatic limit. This allows us to extend the RSJ model by in troducing a voltage- and phase-dependent resistance as well as an excess cu rrent contribution. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
